How do I convert part of an import B/L to transhipment, na ATA?

  • Go to the MLI (Cargo Declaration Import) service and select the specific B/L;
  • Once in MLI delete the containers that will be transhipped from the B/L;
  • Adjust ‘Sea in sea out’ status to import status for the remaining containers in this B/L;
  • Re-issue the adjusted MLI;
  • Adjust the MID:
    • The terminal has MID 2.0 --> withdraw the MID, make necessary adjustments and re-submit;
    • The terminal doesn’t have MID 2.0 --> contact and inform the terminal, adjust the MID and re-submit;
  • Create a new MLI with ‘sea in sea out’ indicator for the container(s) that need to be transhipped;
  • Press ‘Save and send’ REN will be sent immediately to Dutch Customs.

How do I convert part of a transhipment B/L to Import, na ATA?

  • Go to the MLI (Cargo Declaration Import) service. Select and delete the import containers from transhipment B/L and re-submit. The REN MRN for the import containers will be removed from the export manifest;
  • Adjust the MID:
    • The terminal has MID2.0 --> withdraw the MID, make necessary adjustments and re-submit;
    • The terminal doesn’t have MID 2.0 --> contact and inform the terminal, adjust the MID and re-submit;
  • Create a new/separate B/L for the import containers in MLI and submit;

How do I convert an import B/L to a transhipment B/L?

  • Scenario 1: same party as the one who has issued the MLI (Cargo Declaration Import):
    • Go to the Transhipment Service:
    • Select New transhipment;
    • Enter the B/L number and press ‘declare transhipment’.
  • Scenario 2: another party than the one who submitted the MLI (Cargo Declaration Import), for instance the feeder operator on behalf of the deepsea line:
    • Go to the Transhipment Service;
    • Select New transhipment;
    • Enter the B/L number and one container number from the B/L and press ‘declare transhipment’.

Note: in this scenario the container number is required as an extra check!

How do I convert a transhipment B/L to an import B/L?

  • Cancel the REN in the Transhipment Service. The REN MRN will be removed from the Export Manifest;
  • Adjust to import status in MLI and re-submit;
  • Adjust your MID (Notification Import Declaration);
  • The terminal has MID 2.0 --> withdraw your MID, make the necessary adjustments and re-submit;
    • The terminal doesn’t have MID 2.0 --> contact and inform the terminal, adjust your MID and re-submit;
  • Note: with this action the ‘sea in sea out’ indicator label has NOT been removed from MLI automatically. This has to be done in MLI.

Overlanded: My container(s) were discharged at another terminal then declared in MLI (Cargo Declaration Import), what do I do?

  • Don’t cancel the REN in the Transhipment Service!
  • Adjust the discharge terminal in MLI and re-submit;
  • Adjust the discharge terminal in MID (Notification Import Declaration);
    • The terminal has MID 2.0 --> withdraw your MID, make the necessary adjustments and re-submit;
    • The terminal doesn’t have MID 2.0 --> contact and inform the terminal, adjust your MID and re-submit;
